Babypatches is a home business located on the Sammamish
plateau about 18 minutes east of Seattle Washington.
We combined our love for quilting and embroidery together
to
make beautiful quilts for babies and toddlers. We strive
to create high quality items that are stimulating to
baby using bright colors and interesting designs. Several
steps are taken to make these quilts, and each one is
a one of a kind item. You will
find that the size of the quilts are a generous crib size.
On average the size is 40x50 inches making them usable
from baby to toddlerhood.

First designs are embroidered on commercial Babylock Embroidery machines. The designs
are then cut to size and pieced together to make a quilt top with printed fabric matching
theme of the quilt.

The quilt top, batting, and backing are then sandwiched together on a quilting frame
and are machine quilted together using a high power Juki sewing machine. Quilts are
taken off the frame and then trimmed and bound by machine with a fancy stitch to finish
the quilt.

All quilts are 100% pre-washed cotton with ΒΌ inch cotton batting and flannel
backing to keep baby cozy. All quilts are slightly different from the other, making them
one of a kind originals that can be enjoyed for years to come.
Infant Bedding Safety Information
We recommend you use your quilt in the stroller, carseat, or as a playmat for safety reasons.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have
made recommendations for safe bedding practices for babies. When putting infants under 12
months to sleep, remove all pillows, quilts, comforters, and other soft items from the crib.
For more information go to www.cpsc.gov
or talk to your pediatrician.
Quilts are not flame-retardent, and are therefore not to be used as sleepwear.
